Plastic gears provide for smooth quiet operation without lubrication. These parts are completely corrosion resistant and absorb impact loads better than steel gears. Plastic spur gears also do a better job of distributing localized loads caused by misalignment. Many different tooth counts bore sizes, and diametrical pitch parts are available.
